Peter Phillips and his fiancée, Harriet Sperling, will soon walk down the aisle, but the former Prince Andrew reportedly won’t be in the pews.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is the brother of Princess Anne and the uncle of the groom-to-be, but a May 14 report published by the Daily Mail alleged that the former Duke of York was not invited to his nephew’s June wedding.
PEOPLE has contacted a spokesperson for the couple for comment.
Entrepreneur Peter, 48, and Sperling, an NHS nurse, are set to wed in a private ceremony in Gloucestershire on Saturday, June 6.

Harriet Sperling and Peter Phillips attend day three ‘Ladies Day’ of Royal Ascot at Ascot Racecourse on June 19, 2025 in Ascot, England.
According to the Daily Mail, recent reports have suggested it’s “unlikely” Andrew, 66, will attend the private ceremony amid reputational concerns, having been embroiled in scandal in recent months.
In October 2025, King Charles stripped Andrew’s royal titles as his links to the late Jeffrey Epstein came under renewed scrutiny. Andrew’s relationship with the American financier and convicted sex offender, who died while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges in August 2019, set his step back from royal life in motion that November, though he has denied any wrongdoing regarding their ties.
In February, Andrew was arrested at home in Sandringham on suspicion of misconduct in public office as authorities investigate a claim that he shared confidential information with Epstein in his previous role as a U.K. trade envoy. He was released after about 11 hours in police custody and today faces an uncertain legal road ahead.
